Henry overwhelms George

By Jim Dower: After getting off to a good start in the 1st round against light heavyweight contender Chris Henry (24-2, 19 KO‘s), in which he hurt Henry with a big right hand, Shaun George (18-3-2, 9 KO’s) seemed to have a breakdown of sorts for the rest of the way, growing immediately passive until being taken out in the 6th round.

Mack Defeats Henry

mack6543By Jason Kim: Light heavyweight Yusaf Mack (27-2-2, 16 KOs) pulled off a huge upset on Friday night, defeating top rated Chris Henry (23-2, 18 KOs) by a 12-round split decision at the Wicomico Civic Center, in Salisbury, Maryland. The final judges’ scores were 116-112, 115-112 and 113-115. Mack, 29, making only his 4th fight since moving up from the super middleweight division in April 2008, hurt Henry with big right hands in both the 6th, and again in the 12th rounds to squeak out a decision over Henry.

Chris Henry Stops Rubin Williams

By Sean McDaniel: #4 ranked WBC light heavyweight contender Chris Henry (22-1, 18 KOs) took out former super middleweight contender Rubin Williams (29-5-1, 16 KOs) in the 6th round of a scheduled 10-round bout on Wednesday night at the Grand Plaza Hotel, in Houston, Texas. Henry, 27, coming off of a 12-round unanimous decision loss to Adrian Diaconu for the interim WBC light heavyweight title in April, had too much fire power for the taller, slower Williams.
