Billy Joe Saunders wants Eubank Jr. or Ryder in 2013

saunders3By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten British and Commonwealth middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (16-0, 10 KO’s) is hoping he can get a fight against either Chris Eubank Jr. (9-0, 4 KO’s) or John Ryder (13-0, 8 KO’s) in 2013. Saunders, 23, is coming off of a less than impressive 12 round unanimous decision over Nick Blackwell last Saturday night in London in a fight where Saunders took a lot of punishment, and looked stressed out in a major way from the constant pressure that Blackwell was putting him under.

Saunders said to Sky Ringside “I think John Ryder could be a good fight. Chris Eubank Jr. is a very arrogant man. I would love to fight him.”

Gavin Defeats Fearn, Saunders Stops Scriven – Boxing Results

Arena, in Manchester, England. Gavin, 23, dropped Fearn twice in the fight. After the second knockdown, a left-right combination to the head, referee Steve Gray stepped in and halted the bout at 2:25 of the 2nd round.

Saunders Destroys Gabel

saunders56235By Nate Anderson: Undefeated welterweight prospect Billy Joe Saunders (2-0, 2 KOs) scored a 2nd round TKO last night over his outgunned opponent Ronny Gabel (2-2, 2 KOs) at the Odyssey Arena, in Belfast, Ireland. Saunders, 19, battered Gabel at will with huge shots in the 2nd round, prompting referee Terry O’Conner to step in and halt the bout at 1:16 of the 2nd round.

DeGale, 23, was disappointed with his performance from three months ago in a four round decision over Vepkhia Tchilaia on February 28th, which resulted in DeGale receiving a steady stream of booing from the ringside boxing fans who booed him from the 2nd round until the end of the fight after the 4th.

Saunders Defeats Molnar

saunders56445By Jim Dower: 2008 British Olympian Billy Joe Saunders (1-0, 1 KOs) defeated Attila Molnar (12-13-6, 5 KOs) in the 2nf round of a scheduled four round bout on Saturday night at the National Indoor Arena, in Birmingham, West Midlands. In the 2nd round, Saunders backed Molnar up against the ropes and nailed him with a flurry of power shots that snapped Molnar’s head around, hurting him badly. Referee John Keane then stepped in and stopped the fight at 1:47 of the round before Saunders could finish him off.
