By Jason Kim: IBO cruiserweight champion Antonio Tarver (29-6, 20 KO’s) will be looking to knock off one of the young contender 29-year-old Lateef Kayode (18-0, 14 KO’s) next month on May 26th in a venue to be determined in the U.S. Kayode is a Freddie Roach trained fighter with good power but limited experience and boxing skills. He punches hard but he’s very beatable still.

By Dan Ambrose: Former IBF/WBA/WBC light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver (29-6, 20 KO’s) is in the profess of finalizing a deal to fight unbeaten cruiserweight contender Lateef Kayode (18-0, 14 KO’s) on May 26th at a still to be determined venue. This isn’t the fight that the 43-year-old Tarver was looking for, as he was hoping to get in a fight against WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof Wlodarczyk but he’s busy defending his title and isn’t free at the moment.

By Dan Ambrose: With the latest ruling by the World Boxing Council mandating that WBC light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins must fight an immediate rematch against Chad Dawson, it was hoped that boxing fans could see whether Hopkins could handle the younger Dawson without falling down with some kind of injury.
43-year-old Tarver: HBO & Showtime would be interested in me facing Wladimir Klitschko
By Dan Ambrose: 43-year-old Antonio Tarver (29-6, 20 KO’s) is still holding out hope that IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will decide to fight him in 2012, and Tarver thinks he can knock Wladimir out. What’s even more laughable than that is Tarver believes that HBO and Showtime would be interested in seeing him fight Wladimir.
