Froch will expose Dirrell to be another American hype job

froch334455By Joe Neale: On October 17th Carl Froch will get the chance to close a few more mouths about him being a credible world champion against overrated and untested Andre Dirrell at Nottingham. After the great comeback against Jermaine Taylor in the United States, a lot of people thought Froch was out-boxed. Taylor gassed out and Froch got lucky, but you can never judge a boxer by one fight. In my opinion Froch was poor against Taylor.

Dirrell = Skills Like a young Ali – Froch = Power like Liston

froch33238By Scott Gilfoid: The upcoming October 17th Super Six bout between World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Carl Froch and challenger Andre Dirrell reminds me in a lot of ways of the first fight between Muhammad Ali, then known as Cassius Clay, and Sonny Liston. At the time the fight took place, Clay wasn’t given much chance by boxing establishment because they saw him as too young, inexperienced and not tough enough to last against the powerful Liston.

froch36By Al Francis: The first two bouts of Showtime’s inaugural super six world boxing classic tournament are just round the corner. On October 17th Jermain ‘bad intentions’ Taylor will take on ‘king’ Arthur Abraham in Berlin, while Carl ‘the cobra’ Froch meets ‘the matrix’ Andre Dirrell in Nottingham. Both bouts promise to be intriguing as both are classic ‘boxer vs puncher’ matchups and have fans divided as to who’ll win and with four of the tournaments six fighters competing, each fighter will want to be the one that makes the lasting impression. Look for Froch to Come Unglued if Dirrell Beats him

froch45432By Scott Gilfoid: I see World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Carl Froch as a fighter who’s really into routines. He probably does largely the same kind of workout daily, does a set amount of sit-ups and perhaps even combs his hair a certain amount of times. In getting beaten by Andre Dirrell on October 17th, I think this is going to really mess up Froch’s head and cause him to self destruct in many ways.
