By Jason Kim: The big match-up between super middleweight contenders Adonis Stevenson (18-1, 15 KO’s) and Don George (23-2-1, 20 KO’s) is just around the corner for their IBF super middleweight title eliminator next week on October 12th at the Bell Centre, in Montreal, Canada. Stevenson and George were supposed to have already fought, but Stevenson suffered a hand injury, causing the fight to be pushed back to October. Stevenson, 35, is now healed and ready to go for this crucial fight.
The winner of the Stevenson-George fight will be the mandatory challenger for IBF super middleweight champion Carl Froch, although there’s a good chance that Froch will never face either one of these guys because he’s talking about possibly fighting only three more times and then retiring.
