Zuffa Boxing 2: Gvozdyk vs Kalajdzic, Bohachuk vs Butaev

Zuffa Boxing’s second card is being lined up for February 1, 2026, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, just nine days after the January 23 debut. Dan Rafael reported the plan. The construction tells the story. Three ten-round fights. No titles. No prospect padding. Rounds, rounds, and more rounds.

This is controlled matchmaking. The Apex keeps ring size consistent, lighting neutral, and logistics tight.

Jose Rayo Valenzuela is set to box Diego Torres at junior welterweight. Valenzuela is still defined by what he shows between rounds, not by a belt. His unanimous decision loss to Gary Antuanne Russell in March 2025 exposed his limits against sustained combinations and body work, yet the earlier wins over Isaac Cruz and Chris Colbert showed he can control tempo with feet, jab, and mid-range counters. Torres is there to give rounds and resistance, not chaos.

Serhii Bohachuk against Radzhab Butaev follows the same logic. This is about who holds center ring, who controls distance with the lead hand, and who keeps balance when exchanges extend past three punches.

The Apex is a gym-sized arena with television angles already solved. Fighters know where the ropes give and where they don’t. Corners understand acoustics. Judges see clean work.

Veteran Fights

Oleksandr Gvozdyk returned last April with a win over Anthony Holloway after losing on points to David Benavidez in 2024. In that Benavidez fight, Gvozdyk gave away early rounds, slowed his feet, then rallied late once he settled into a tighter guard and shorter punches.

Gvozdyk should control range with the jab and straight right, banking rounds while avoiding extended inside exchanges. Valenzuela’s footwork and timing still separate him at this level, though sustained pressure remains his weak spot.

Radivoje Kalajdzic fits that lane. He brings experience, a steady jab, and enough durability to force exchanges without pushing Gvozdyk into damage-heavy firefights.

No belts. No hype. Just ten-round fights where pacing, ring IQ, and recovery between rounds get tested. Zuffa is building a schedule the way trainers build camps; repetition first, escalation later.
