Undefeated British light welterweight Adam Azim will face Argentine fighter Gustavo Lemos in a scheduled 12-round bout on January 31 at the Copper Box Arena in London.
Azim, 22, will be taking a step up in opposition against Lemos, who has previously competed at the world level. Lemos has challenged for an interim WBA title and has faced higher-ranked opponents during his career.
Lemos has losses to Keyshawn Davis and Richardson Hitchins, both of whom came by decision. The fight with Azim will be his first appearance in the United Kingdom.
Azim enters the bout ranked among the top contenders at 140 pounds. He is coming off recent victories over Kurt Scoby and Sergey Lipinets. The bout is scheduled for 12 rounds in the super-lightweight division.
