Millan, Culiacan, Sinaloa, MEX, Saturday over DAZN promoter Eddie Hearn (Matchroom Boxing) and matchmaker Kevin Rooney, Jr. presented in the Main Event WBO NABO Lightweight champ Angel “Tashiro” Fierro stopping Eduardo “La Pesadilla” Estela in seven rounds.

In the Main Event WBO NABO Light champ Angel “Tashiro” Fierro, 21-1-2 (17), #134.4, of Tijuana, MEX, and San Diego, CA, stopped Eduardo “La Pesadilla” Estela, 14-2 (9), #134.2, of Montevideo, URG, at 2:59 of the seventh round of a scheduled 10 rounds.

In the first round there was no feeling out as both let their hands go from the beginning to the end of the round. In the second round Fierro had Estela in trouble in the final minute with a barrage of punches having him against the ropes for the most part.

In the fourth round Fierro landed half a dozen punches dropping Estela for an 8-count from Referee Miguel Angel Canul. In the final minute a right on the chin from Fierro again dropped Estela for an 8-count in the final seconds.

In the fifth round Estela fought back well rocking Fierro with a right on the chin. The action continued to the bell. In the seventh rounds final seconds Fierro drove Estela to the canvas with a flurry of punches causing referee Canul to call a halt ending a war!

Super Feather Eduardo “Sugar” Nunez, 24-1 (24), #130.6, of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, MEX, knocked out southpaw Jesus Martin Ceyca, 17-1 (8), #128.8, of Culiacan, MEX, at 2:14 of the second round of a scheduled 10 rounds.

In the second round a vicious overhand right from Nunez and down went Ceyca and out cold. He took some time to get to his stool.
Middle 2016 Olympian Misael “El Chino” Rodriguez, 13-0 (7), #162.6, of Chihuahua, MEX, defeated Aaron Rocha Guerrero, 10-2-1 (6), #161.2, of Culiacan, MEX, over 8 action packed rounds.

In the first three rounds Rodriguez pressed the action outworking Guerrero. In the fifth round Rodriguez rocked Guerrero with a right uppercut on the chin halfway through the round. In the seventh round Rodriguez continued going to the body backing up Guerrero. In the eighth and final round Rodriguez outworked Guerrero in an action round.

Scores were 78-76 and 77-76 twice with 79-75 by this writer.
Referee Guadalupe Quinterro

Feather Alejandro “Chinito” Yung Wong, 9-1 (5), #127.2, of Los Mochis, Sinaloa, MEX, lost to 19 year-old Francisco Pina, 6-0 (3), #125.8, of Mexico City, MEX, over 8 solid rounds.

In the first round the taller Yung Wong had an edge. In the second rounds midway point Pina landed a hard right to the chin of Yung Wong and continued chasing him having a good round. A minute remaining Young landed a good left hook to the chin of Pina. In the third round Pina worked the body well through the first two minutes.

Yung Wong warned for holding in the final minute but came back well.
In the fourth rounds final seconds Pina rocked Yung Wong with a right on the chin. In the fifth and sixth rounds Pina continued using a good left while Yung Wong uses his reach and hitting after the bell without warning. In the seventh round both landed well in the best round of the fight with Pena having Yung Wong holding at times. In the eighth and final round Pina continued outworking Yung Wong right up to the bell.

Referee was Edgar Lendozo.

18 year-old Lightweight southpaw Criztec “El Flaco” Bazaldua, 1-0 (0), #136.4, of So. L.A., CA, defeated Armando “Tigre” Bustamante, 1-1 (0), #135.4, of Mexico City, MEX, over 4 rounds.

In the first round the 6’1” southpaw Bazaldua kept Bustamante on the end of his long jab. In the second round at the halfway point a lead left from Bazaldua on the chin knocked Bustamante back several steps.

In the third round Bustamante hung in tough grabbing Bazaldua at times and always coming forward taking plenty of jabs on the chin. In the fourth and final rounds final minute Bazaldua landed a left uppercut to the mid-section of Bustamante who got in his punches in return though out landed.

Scores were all 40-36 including this writer’s.
