Tyson Fury on Oleksandr Usyk: “I will hunt him down, he’ll be crushed”
By Charles Brun: Tyson Fury is speaking in bold terms, saying he’s going to “hunt” the unbeaten IBF, WBA & WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk down & he’ll be “crushed” when they get it on for the undisputed clash in March.
We’re assuming that when the 6’9″ behemoth Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) speaks of him crushing Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs), he’s talking about wrapping him up in his ‘cocoon of horror‘ and just mauling him into submission by holding, leaning & rabbit punching him into submission in an ugly bear-like fashion.
WBC champion Fury lacks the power and offensive skills to crush Usyk the real sense the way a massive puncher like Deontay Wilder would so.
As such, the best that Fury can hope for to destroy Usyk is by using his 270+ lb frame to lean on him all night with constant clinches and wait for his legs to weaken from having all that weight being pressed on him.
“I don’t think he’s big enough and strong enough to stand up to the punches… It’s a challenge, but he’ll be running away like a little b**ch all night. I will hunt him down, and when I get hold of him, he’ll be crushed,” said Tyson Fury to the Telegraph about his fight with IBF, WBA & WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in early 2023.
“The date will probably be in early March,” said Frank Warren to iFL TV about when the Fury vs. Usyk fight will take place. “We’re still negotiating, but until you got the fight, you’ve got nothing.

“First, let’s get the fight done, and then we can get to where it’s going to take place. It could be at Wembley. Who knows? I’m confident the the fight we’re dealing with, Egis and Bob Arum, we’re all of the same mind. I’m quite confident we can get this on. At least we have a contract that is being issued.
“At the moment, nothing has been agreed with in Saudi. So we’ve got a ways to go yet. The site will be agreed really quickly because we want to go in March. It’s got to go on sale soon wherever it’s going to take place. The site will have to be sorted out very quickly. We’re not going to mess around. It’s going to be about where the boys can make the most amount of money,” said Warren about Fury vs. Usyk.
