By Craig Daly: Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis has reportedly been arrested and charged with “battery-cause bodily harm – domestic violence” in Broward County, Florida.

According to Dan Rafael, Tank Davis, 28, was arrested on Tuesday, and a photo of him was taken at the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

Hopefully, Tank Davis can get this cleared up because it could potentially derail his upcoming fights and hurt his career right when it’s ready to soar to the next level.

The arrest of the unbeaten Gervonta (27-0, 25 KOs) could jeopardize his January 7th fight against Hector Luis Garcia.

Tank and Garcia (16-0, 10 KOs) are headlining on Showtime pay-per-view at the Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C. It would be a disaster if Tank couldn’t fight on the card.

Additionally, Tank expects to fight Ryan Garcia on April 15th on Showtime PPV. That would be another massive blow to Tank, Showtime, and the boxing world if his fight with the popular Ryan can’t take place due to Tuesday’s reported arrest.

“According to the website records, Davis was charged with battery causing bodily harm in an incident police classified as domestic violence. No other details were available,” said Dan Rafael at his Substack site.

“Davis was charged with simple battery domestic violence in Coral Gables, Florida, in February 2020 following an incident with the mother of his daughter at a charity basketball game.”

This is unbelievable. It’s hard to understand how something like this could happen with Tank Davis with him so close to his important match next month on Showtime PPV.

Tank has been training in Broward County in Miami to finish up his preparation for his 12 round main event fight against the 2016 Olympian Hector Garcia on Showtime in Washington, D.C.

Davis was so relaxed meeting with the boxing media a week ago, taking more than one can remember when he was still with Mayweather Promotions.
