In the first three rounds, Morrell landed pinpoint punches against Yerbossynuly. In the fourth round, a clash of heads caused a cut on the bridge of Yerbossynuly’s nose. Morrell’s hand and foot speed were too much for Yerbossynuly.

In the fifth round, Yerbossynuly midway landed half a dozen body shots with Morrell’s guard held high, taking his first round. In the sixth round, Yerbossynuly had Morrell against the ropes for a good part of the round. In the seventh and eighth rounds, Morrell used an effective jab for the most part in taking these rounds.

In the ninth round, Morrell came out using left uppercuts to the chin of Yerbossynuly. In the final seconds, Morrell drove Yerbossynuly into the ropes with a lead left to the chin going to the canvas, ruled a slip by Referee Tony Weeks.

In the tenth round, with a minute remaining, Morrell hurt Yerbossynuly with an overhand left to the chin, making him clinch. In the eleventh round, Morrell continued staying one step ahead of the plodding Yerbossynuly, who never stops trying.

In the twelfth and final round, after fifteen seconds, a left from Morrell on the chin dropped Yerbossynuly for an 8-count from referee Weeks. In the final minute, referee Weeks deducted a point from Yerbossynuly, who had Morrell pinned against the ropes while holding the ropes, not letting go until forced to. Seconds later, Morrell landed a left on the chin followed by a right uppercut dropping Yerbossynuly partially under the ropes forcing referee Weeks to wave it off! Morrell helped Yerbossynuly to his corner showing good sportsmanship.

Former IBF and WBA Light Middle champ Jeison “Banana” Rosario, 23-4-1 (17), #160, of Santo Domingo, DR, and Miami, FL, was knocked out by Brian “La Bala” Mendoza, 21-2 (15), #159 ¼, of Las Vegas, NV, at 0:35 of the fifth round of a scheduled 10 rounds.

In the fourth round, Rosario started fast, with Mendoza finishing stronger in the end of the round. In the fifth round, a Mendoza right uppercut to the chin dropped Rosario, who couldn’t get to his feet, stumbling to the canvas in trying as the fight was waved off.

Middleweight Fiodor Czerkaszyn, 21-0 (13), #158 ¾, of Kharkiv, UKR, Warsaw, POL, and Ft. Lauderdale, FL, easily defeated “Nate the Great” Nathaniel Gallimore, 22-6-1 (17), #158 ½ of Kingston, Jamaica and Des Plaines, IL, over 10 rounds.

In the first three rounds, Czerkaszyn used an effective jab and occasional uppercuts to the body to take all three rounds. In the fifth round, Czerkaszyn midway landed a pair of rights to the chin of Gallimore. He worked the body with left hooks and a right to the chin in the final seconds.

In the sixth round’s final seconds, Czerkaszyn rocked Gallimore with a left hook to the chin, winning yet another round. In the seventh round, Gallimore continued to do more talking than fighting. Czerkaszyn occasionally would switch to southpaw, rarely throwing a punch.

In the eighth round’s first thirty seconds, Czerkaszyn landed three rights to the chin without an answer from Gallimore. Midway through the round, he peppered Gallimore with half a dozen punches. Gallimore, who refused to touch gloves during instructions, seems reluctant to use his gloves overall.

In the ninth round halfway point, a Gallimore right was countered by over a dozen return punches from Czerkaszyn. In the tenth and final round, Czerkaszyn looked like he pitched a shutout, overwhelming Gallimore. The referee was Gary Ritter.
