By Charles Brun: Tyson Fury sounded like a big kid that didn’t get the toy that he’d hoped for on Christmas in posting a cryptic message on social media today.

Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) appears to be upset after being told no by his promoter Bob Arum about his hair-brained idea of fighting the played-out domestic level fighter Derek Chisora next in December.

It’s hard to tell what made Fury suddenly want to fight Chisora, but it’s a decision that was clearly not thought out.

Some boxing fans believe Fury wants to fight Chisora a third time out of sentimental reasons because they’re mates and have shared the ring twice.

“The funny thing is, people love to do deals and then ask for more or change the goalposts. The usual thing for me is I tell them to go get f***. So there we are,” said Tyson Fury on Twitter on Thursday.

What Fury is failing to grasp is that the fans DON’T want to see him fight Chisora next, and it’s not a match that would make money.

Moreover, it would be asking a lot for Fury’s promoter Bob Arum to take the risk of putting together the Chisora fight, hoping that it will turn a profit. I don’t think it would, which would result in lost money for the promoters & investors.

If Fury wants to take a stay busy fight, he should fight Joe Joyce or Daniel Dubois.

If the idea behind that fight is for Fury to help Chisora financially, he can easily achieve that by cutting him a $5 million check from his vast $65 million fortune. That money would help Chisora out, allowing him to move to the countryside.

Giving away $5m won’t hurt Fury because he’s going to get a boatload of dough when he faces the Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk II winner.

“Of course not,” Bob Arum said to Fight Freaks Unite on Wednesday when asked if he’s going to put together a Fury vs. Chisora fight. “Nothing. What are we, crazy? Everybody is waiting for the fight to happen a week from Saturday, and then we’ll explore whether it’s feasible to do a fight for the complete unification.
