Derek Chisora tells Tyson Fury: “Send me the paperwork, b****”

By Charles Brun: Derek Chisora responded today to Tyson Fury’s talk of wanting to fight him by saying that he needs to speak with his promoters Bob Arum & Frank Warren.

Chisora (33-12, 23 KOs) says he wants WBC heavyweight champion Fury to send him the paperwork for the fight, which will need to be agreed on by his promoters.

It’s fair to say that Top Rank promoter Bob Arum will be dead set against the idea of Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) fighting the 38-year-old Chisora because he’ll likely be worried that it’ll lose money and won’t cover the purses for the two fighters.

It wouldn’t be a problem for Fury to fight Chisora if he were ham & egger like him, as the purses for the two would be a mere trifle. But with Fury being the WBC champion, he’s going to want a boatload of dough for the fight against his 38-year-old pal Chisora.

Likewise, Chisora is going to want big money as well for the fight. It won’t surprise this writer if Chisora’s asking price is $3 million.

Given that this fight would be essentially a domestic-level clash and likely an exhibition, it’s going to be tough for them to lure the British boxing public to open their wallets so they can watch a pseudo fight between friends.

“Tyson, stop talking s***, mate. Phone mommy & daddy. Mommy is Frank Warren; daddy is f**** Bob Arum. Tell them you want to hang out with me, and send me the paperwork, b****,” said Derek Chisora on Twitter.

It’s nice that Fury wants to help out his friend Chisora by offering him a payday fight against him, but Tyson needs to think about the fans & the promoters. No one is calling for Fury to fight Chisora at this point in his career.

If Fury wants to do Chisora a solid, he’d be better off cutting a check for $5 million from his estimated fortune of $65 million. It won’t hurt Fury, in the long run, to give Chisora a $5 million check to help cushion his retirement years. With that money, Chisora can send his kids to private schools, and he can eat well for the rest of his life.
