Adam Booth: “Chris Eubank Jr Is A Handful For Anyone”

By Daniele D’Alessio: In a recent interview with SecondsOut, experienced trainer Adam Booth believes Chris Eubank Jr is hard to beat.

“He is a handful for anyone because he’s as mentally resilient as a fighter as he needs to be, he’s got great hand speed, he’s tough, he’s unpredictable at times”

Despite being the head coach of Liam Williams, Booth accepts that the son of the legendary Chris Eubank is a great fighter in his own right.

Eubank Jr and Williams are scheduled to face off on the 5th of February at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff. After two reschedulements in a row, this bitter rivalry will finally come to a conclusion in what many believe is a genuine 50-50 contest.

Booth was Eubank Jr’s trainer for a couple of fights in 2015 and knows the character and ability of the Next Gen superstar.

The question is, will Booth’s experience with training Eubank Jr give Williams the edge he needs to go and win the fight?

Now being coached by the Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr, Eubank Jr finally has a coach that he respects and listens to.

Even though his last two opponents have been less than stellar, the man from Brighton has shown improvements to his boxing ability and it will be interesting to see what kind of approach he chooses against the Welshman.

Williams is coming off a conclusive loss against Demetrius Andrade but his stock rose from that fight due to showing heart and determination to last the full 12 rounds.

The winner of this fight will set themselves up for a massive fight in the summer, so there is lots at stake besides bragging rights.

Is Eubank Jr now an even better fighter than he remembers? Or does he still lack the edge against tougher opposition which Booth and Williams can capitalize on?
