By Jeff Aronow: Police video posted by TMZ from shortly after IBF/WBC welterweight champion Errol Spence’s car crash shows a loaded gun being discovered at the scene of the accident on October 10 in Dallas. It’s unknown who owns the gun that was found.

The police were wearing body cam while they were present at the car crash scene, and at the hospital during Spence’s blood draw. The blood draw was for the police to identify whether Spence had been under the influence of alcohol during the crash. Spence was later charged with a DWI

Police discuss finding a loaded gun at Spence’s crash scene

One of the police officers said on the TMZ video, ‘It’s a $1000 gun. We got the engine out of the street, so that’s good. I was walking along, and it’s just laying there. I don’t know. It’s kind of hard to tell,” when the police office was asked if Spence is ‘OK’ after the car crash. “If he was thrown out like that, I would say a little sick.”

Spence crashed his Ferrari 488 Spider on October 10 at 2:53 AM in Dallas. The unbelted Spence was ejected from his car at the moment it crashed, and he escaped the accident without suffering broken bones.

Spence later spent 6 days in the ICU recovering from the car crash of his Ferrari. Errol later posted on his Instagram, saying “No broken bones I’m a savage!!”

Spence wants Pacquiao or Danny Garcia in 2020

Last month, Spence was interviewed by Fox Sports. He said, “My ribs were just sore. My whole body was sore. I don’t remember too much. It could have ended my career. I now feel like I’m rejuvenated. I’ll be fighting in May or June.

“I’ll definitely be back in the Summer or the spring. They did all types of scans on me. I want to fight one of the top fighters. And I don’t want a tune-up fight. I want to fight Pacquiao…and I want to fight Danny Garcia,” said Spence.

Spence reportedly also wants to face WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford in 2020, but it’s unknown whether that fight will take place this year.

No tune-ups wanted by Spence for his next fight

Spence says he doesn’t want a tune-up, but his handlers at Premier Boxing Champions will have input on who he faces next. Fighting someone tough like Crawford, Pacquiao or Garcia without a warm-up fight would be a huge undertaking for Errol. He’d get a lot of respect from boxing fans if he faces one of those guys straightaway, but it wouldn’t be a smart move for him.

Spence last fought against Shawn Porter on September 28th, and he beat him by a 12 round split decision. The fight was close, partly because of Spence’s decision to brawl with Porter at close quarters.
