DAZN Updates U.S. Pricing Proposition; Debuts Annual Pass
Since DAZN’s U.S. launch, the platform has collected a robust portfolio of combat sports from Matchroom Boxing, Bellator MMA, the World Boxing Super Series, Combate Americas, Golden Boy Promotions and GGG Promotions. Offering more than 100 fight nights a year, DAZN delivers international superstars including Canelo Alvarez, Anthony Joshua and Gennady Golovkin to our subscribers without charging fans for one-off events. In late March, DAZN will launch ChangeUp, a nightly MLB whip-around show featuring live look-ins of the best action from around the league – every big play, every day.
To further amplify our value to consumers, we will debut the DAZN annual pass for $99.99. For the price of one evening’s pay-per-view, subscribers will have access to an entire year of live sports, archived classic fights and original programming. Over the course of the year, our service will average out to just over $8 a month – unrivaled value within the industry.
While our data indicates that most of our existing and new subscribers will prefer the annual option, we recognize that some fans prefer flexibility over longer-term value. And for that reason, we will maintain a monthly payment option, priced at $19.99.
To best illustrate the value of the monthly option, imagine if you sign up for DAZN on May 4. In addition to live MLB action each day, subscribers will have access to Canelo Alvarez vs. Daniel Jacobs, the semifinal of the Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix, Anthony Joshua’s U.S. debut at Madison Square Garden and much more – all for a fraction of one pay-per-view fight night.
These updates will take effect March 25. Pricing for existing subscribers will be grandfathered for one year.
We are very excited about what we’re building and thank our subscribers for joining us on this journey to make sports affordable and accessible.
