Errol Spence Jr. & James Toney Confirmed For Fourth Annual Box Fan Expo
Current IBF Welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. has confirmed that that he will appear, have a booth and hold a Meet & Greet with his fans at the Las Vegas Convention Center for the 4th Annual Box Fan Expo on Saturday September 15, 2018 from 10am to 5pm, during Mexican Independence Day weekend. The Boxing Expo will also coincide with the highly anticipated rematch between Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs Gennady ‘GGG’ Golovkin, that will take place later that evening at the T-Mobile Arena.
Spence Jr. will make his 1st appearance at this years’ Expo and will be signing gloves, photos, personal items and also have merchandise for sale for fans to enjoy. As an amateur Spence Jr. won three consecutive United States national championships and represented the U.S. at the 2012 Olympics, where he reached the quarter-finals; all in the welterweight division. As a professional, Spence Jr. has held the IBF welterweight title since 2017. He traveled to Sheffield, England, in May 2017, where he dethroned Brook before 27,000 Brits. Spence Jr. scored 10th-and final-round knockdowns of Brook, who suffered a broken orbital bone in his severely swollen left eye. In Brook, Spence Jr. defeated a man who dethroned Porter and became the first American to earn a title from an English champion on foreign soil since 2008 when Tim Bradley upset Junior Witter in Nottingham for a 140-pound title.
As of Today, Spence Jr. is ranked as the world’s 8th best active boxer, pound for pound, by The Ring magazine; he is also ranked as the world’s best active welterweight by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, and second by The Ring and BoxRec.
