By Jeff Aranow: Paulie Malignaggi hasn’t let go of his bad experience working with Conor McGregor, because he’s still trashing him on social media days after quitting his training camp this past week.

Malignaggi is now saying that when he would hit the 29-year-old McGregor with body shots, he would whimper like a girl. Malignaggi insists that he won’t divulge the tactics that McGregor is going to use for his August 26 fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., but he does seem like he’s going to let the boxing and MMA fans know about what it was like sparring him.

Malignaggi says he’s going to let the fans know the full details about what transpired during his work with McGregor while in his training camp. Just how hard Malignaggi will go in telling the fans about what went on in the camp is unclear.

Malignaggi had been working with McGregor briefly as a sparring partner. He sparred with the Irish fighter exactly 2 times. Things were going well between them until a couple of photos leaked out in the media, showing Malignaggi looking in bad shape. Apparently, Malignaggi thinks it was an inside job designed to make him look bad.

The photos speak for themselves unfortunately. Malignaggi’s face is swollen red and well beaten in one photo that was leaked. In the other photo, Malignaggi is on his back with his head, arms and legs up in the air. It’s impossible to know if Malignaggi was pushed or what. The only thing you can see it Malignaggi on his back and McGregor standing and looking at him.

“This coming week I’ll actually start to discuss a bit what happened Tuesday,” said Malignaggi on his Twitter. ”He whimpers like a girl when he gets ripped to the body – lol. I won’t speak tactics of his, that I wouldn’t do, I still have some ethics, I’m not Conor, but definitely will give the story straight about stuff.”

McGregor seems unfazed by Malignaggi’s daily rants on social media. McGregor hasn’t come out and said that he pushed Malignaggi to put him down. The only thing McGregor is saying is he whipped Malignaggi’s backside during the sparring sessions. McGregor respects Malignaggi for sticking it out during the 2 sessions, but that’s as far as it goes. He’s not complimenting him for just making it through the sparring. Even if Malignaggi was shoved to the canvas like he maintains, it doesn’t explain why his face was so red and swollen looking. Malignaggi looked like he’d been really worked over my McGregor. In contrast, McGregor looked totally unmarked around the face. That could be due to Malignaggi not having much power in his shots. Malignaggi didn’t say whether he was pulling his punches during the sparring session so he wouldn’t injure McGregor and ruin his August 26 mega-fight with Mayweather.

Malignaggi is not going to change the public perception in the boxing and MMA world that he left McGregor’s camp after getting pummeled by him. The photos of the session makes Malignaggi look bad. Further, McGregor has a bigger mouthpiece due to his popularity. When McGregor speaks, millions of fans listen to him. Malignaggi’s reach is far less.
