WBC Clean Boxing Program report
The WBC Clean Boxing Program has begun it´s random out of competition testing. VADA which is the agency responsible of administering the collection, testing and reporting, has sent the WBC the first report from the tests performed during the month of October.
WBC Champion Badou Jack, Ishe Smith and Sean Porter were tested and all results were negative.
There are some other fighters under the process and results are pending.
There is 1 missed tests which has been reported.
Patrick Nielsen from Denmark – Patrick missed the testing which is very unfortunate and this matter has been addressed with the fighter and his manager. A fine has been imposed on him to cover the expenses incurred in this process and a warning will be reflected in his CBP.
IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT BOXERS ENROLLED IN THE PROGRAM UNDERSTAND THE NEED TO REPORT ANY CHANGES OF THEIR LOCATION IF IT IS MORE THAN 1 HOUR AWAY FROM THE ADDRESS REPORTED IN THE WHEREABOUTS FORM.
Any boxers enrolled in the CBP may be tested at any time and throughout the year. The process is random so a fighter who is not in his location must inform VADA in order to avoid a missed test scenario. Simply email the change of location to firstname.lastname@example.org
We encourage all fighters and members of the boxing community to watch the Webinar which was produced as a learning tool for all to understand the dangers of Performance enhancing Drugs and illegal procedures. You may watch the program at the following link: http://wbcboxing.com/WBCVADA/
We also encourage all fighters, managers, trainers and promoters to be familiar with the CBP Protocol and all the CBP documents and procedures, especially the whereabouts form. VADA is currently developing a mobile platform to report changes of location which will make things much more easier and effective to all.
Any enrolled fighter taking any Prescribed prohibited substance due to illness or injury must be reported by his physician and it is advised to fill a TUE form. This means to report the substance which has been prescribed by a doctor to the fighter, and the length of time the treatment will last.
Anyone, at anytime, may consult https://dfsaxis.com/users/login (formally known as the REC) which is a free service that will provide valuable information about any concerns or doubts you one may have about any substance or procedure. Just log in by clicking on the VADA logo then use the passcode “vada12”.
ALL FIGHTERS MUST BE VERY CAREFUL WITH ANY SUPPLEMENTS TAKEN . REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR WHATEVER YOU INGEST AND THERE ARE ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES CONTAINED IN SEVERAL SUPPLEMENTS WHICH WILL CAUSE A POSITIVE IN ANTI-DOPING …. READ LABELS, CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN, USE VADA AND CONSULT. IT IS A FREE SERVICE.
We are very proud of all who are participating in this historic process which is being a success only due to everybody working together for the benefit of our sport and most importantly our boxers.
