Fight night at Twin River Casino is just 48 hours away and only a limited number of standing room tickets are available for purchase for what is expected to be a record-setting event.

CES Boxing’s Friday, May 13th, 2016 fight card, “THE BATTLE FOR THE CAPITAL,” is headlined by the return of Providence native and Rhode Island icon Peter Manfredo Jr. (40-7, 21 KOs), who ends his two and a half year layoff in a super middleweight main event showdown against fellow Providence veteran Vladine Biosse (15-7-2, 7 KOs).

The high demand for tickets for Manfredo’s comeback fight prompted Twin River to open standing room tickets in late April. All seated tickets are now sold out and half of the original batch of standing room tickets allocated three weeks ago have been sold in advance of this epic showdown, leaving only a limited number of tickets available for purchase.

These limited tickets are priced at $46.00 and available online at www.cesboxing.com, www.twinriver.com or www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 401-724-2253/2254 or at the Twin River Casino Players Club. All fights and fighters are subject to change and tickets are non-refundable.

The Manfredo-Biosse headliner at “THE BATTLE FOR THE CAPITAL” is one of nine fights on Friday’s card. Worcester’s Khiary Gray (12-0, 9 KOs) also returns on May 13th and puts his Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) Northeast Junior Middleweight Title on the line against Fort Meyers, Fla., vet Quinton Willis (10-3-2, 5 KOs) in an 8-round bout while unbeaten New Haven, Conn., welterweight Jimmy Williams (10-0-1, 5 KOs) faces St. Petersburg, Fla., veteran Manny Woods (15-4-1, 5 KOs) in a six-round bout.

Fight week festivities continue tomorrow with the official weigh-in and press conference, which begins at 3:30 p.m. at Twin River Casino’s Wicked Good Bar & Grill. Both events are open to the public. Doors open a 6 p.m. on fight night and the first of nine bouts is scheduled for 7.
