pac665By Raj Parmar: Manny Pacquiao is feeling very confident as he approaches his showdown with pound for pound number one fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr. Manny believes he can see what his opponents are feeling by looking into in their eyes, and he got the chance to look into Floyd’s at their press conference a few weeks ago to promote their upcoming super fight.

Pacquiao feels Floyd knows a rough night awaits him when they both step into the ring on May 2 in their fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is certain Mayweather’s reign at the top of the sport is coming to an end.

“I could see fear in Floyd’s eyes,” Pacquiao stated to Philboxing.”His downfall looms on the horizon. This coming May 2, God will deliver him into my hands.”

The “Pacman” also believes fear was hanging over the last three fighters who stepped in the ring with him; Chris Algieri, Tim Bradley and Brandon Rios. Manny was able to dominate all three of them in the ring however he saw something else in the eyes of the man who gave him his last loss back in 2012: Juan Manuel Marquez, who he has fought four times in his career.

“I could see in his eyes that he hates me so much for knocking him down thrice during our first encounter and for handing him the defeat in our two succeeding fights,” Pacquiao said.

Manny was able to recover from that knockout loss and now finds himself one win away from becoming the top boxer in the world. Pacquiao is adamant that he is not scared of the unbeaten Floyd or any other fighter for that matter due to his rough upbringing in the Philippines.

“Many times I’d been into street fights using bare knuckles. I was never scared and I stood my ground,” Pacquiao explained.

Floyd has faced all kinds of fighters during his career and while it is difficult to imagine him being afraid to step inside the boxing ring with any fighter, there is no doubt that he knows that the outcome of his fight against Manny will define his place in boxing history.
