segura45445By Gerardo Granados: Maybe the reader has grown tired of watching hug fests instead of enjoying fighters trading punches, perhaps it is too common to get to see ridiculous mismatches hyped as potential fights of the year.

Certainly fight fans must be eager to see a good fight in which both fighters are willing to trade punches since the first bell ring and to come out to win by punishing his opponent in to submission instead of just to look for to simply outpoint his rival.

Well, if that is the case and if you are a fight fan who doesn’t care about the weight divisions then I will recommend you a potentially great fight that you all can see this weekend.

This Saturday 6th the at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico City, Mexico; the current WBA – WBO flyweight champion Juan Francisco Estrada W26(19)-L2-D0 will fight against dangerous contender and former WBA – WBO light flyweight champion southpaw Giovani Segura W32(28)-L3-D1.

Gallo Estrada is a young promising champion with good boxing skills who likes to trade punches, on the other corner Segura is a pressure fighter who can’t be considered as a technician. Just a year ago Segura battled Hernan “Tyson” Marquez in a fight of the year nominee and tonight I doubt he will disappoint fight fans. Julio Cesar Chavez Sr who works as a boxing analyst for Mexican TV Network TVAZTECA calls Segura as “the best stone thrower in the business” which means that Giovani might not be the finest but is brave and will throw serious bombs trying to knockout his opponent.

Not because a fighter is famous it is a guarantee for fight fans to see a good competitive fight. Just two days ago Roman Chocolatito Gonzalez defeated Akira Yaegashi in a great fight to win the WBC flyweight championship and became the second Nicaraguan fighter to achieve World Titles in three different weight divisions but the fight did not received the fans attention that it should have.

The only way to force Promoters to offer quality fights is to try to watch quality fights and to avoid watching whatever they put on the screen. So, is the reader interested to see the Estrada vs Segura fight?
