The All Access will focus exclusively on the Mayweather-Maidana mega fight, and give fans an opportunity to see these excellent fighters get ready for what should be a very good match on May 3rd.
Maidana doesn’t speak English well, so we’re likely to see the camera on Mayweather during most of the episodes. It makes sense because the camera loved him, and he was born for All Access episodes. With his charisma, Mayweather is one of the few boxers that has the ability to hold interest for the average fan.
In beating Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero in his last two fights, Mayweather has removed all doubts about who the best fighter is in boxing. Before his wins over these two excellent fighters, there were some fans who still believed that Manny Pacquiao was the best fighter in the sport. But with the way that Mayweather handled business against them, he’s now perceived as the No.1 fighter. Mayweather’s win over Miguel Cotto also was an impressive victory in showing Mayweather’s status as the best overall fighter in boxing.
The undercard is a very good one with Amir Khan, Adrien Broner, Carlos Molina, and Luis Collazo all in action, it’s too bad that there wasn’t an All Access episode to highlight those two interesting fights.
Khan is fighting the ex-WBA welterweight champion Collazo, while Broner takes on tough fighter Molina. Both of those fights will be televised on Showtime PPV. Khan-Collazo could put pressure on the Mayweather-Maidana fight as far as generating excitement and drama. We could see a really big surprise in this fight, and I expect it to end in a knockout.
