Mikey Garcia is currently one of the sports brightest and accomplished young stars. As most fans already know, he is from a boxing family and is very well schooled in the art of the sweet science. He has very good technique, punching power and most importantly a high boxing IQ. Although Garcia has one of the highest knockout percentages in the sport, he is a very patient fighter and studies his opponents very well.

On the other hand Juan Carlos Burgos is a tuff Mexican fighter with only one loss. However, he hasn’t had the most impressive year having fought to a draw in his last two fights. The last fighter he fought was a fighter with 4 losses coming off a long layoff. That is certainly not a good look for the 25 year old Mexican fighter, especially considering the fact that he’s going to be fighting one of the best young fighters in the sport.

Although I do not believe this fight will be competitive, I think it will be a fun fight to watch considering the styles of both fighters. In my humble opinion, Garcia is a true gem in the sport of boxing and I enjoy watching his development and progression as a fighter.
