Milwaukee, WI (November 4, 2013) – Usually when you see large crowds of people in Wisconsin, you would assume they are heading into Lambeau Field which serves as the home to the World Champion Green Bay Packers on game day, and touted as the most legendary stadium in the National Football League, yet surprising as it may be Wisconsin proved it is also a fighting state.

This past Friday IBOM Stars Promotions presented “Casino Battle Royale” at the Potawatomi Bingo Casino, in the beautiful city of Milwaukee. Serving as the main event Nigerian born Enobong “The Nigerian Gentleman” Umohette (9-1, 8 KO’s), who know resides and fights out of Milwaukee, WI took on not only the duties of being the promoter of the event, he also served as the main event taking on former USA Olympian Dante Craig (20-17-1, 15 KO’s), in a scheduled 10 round bout for the vacant Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) International heavyweight title.

Umohette, looked as though he was actually using round one more of a “feeling out” round, it became evident that the Nigerian was looking to work the “softer” looking body of Craig. Craig was looking to give everything he had in every punch he threw, however the quicker more defensive minded used a lot of awkward movements to hamper any offensive of the more seasoned Craig.

Round two started off by Craig looking to tie up and make the fight a brawl, instead Umohette started working behind his jab, doubling up and landing nice body shots before throwing nice combinations to the head of Dante. In the middle of round 2 it was clear that Craig was going to have a long night ahead of himself as he waited till the smaller Umohette was able to get off his shots before Craig. Towards the end of round 2, Craig was again got hurt but this time it was a nice right hand follow by more body work that sent what appeared as the dazed Dante Craig back to his corner.

Between round 2 and 3, Craig was seen sitting on the stool, nodding his head it appeared as though he was saying now, he got up and his trainer tried stopping him, after that the referee walked towards the corner of Craig and seconds later the fight was stopped. With the win Umohette wins the vacant Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) International heavyweight title. Official result was Umohette By retirement, opponent unable to answer the bell, Round 3, 0:00

Heavyweights: On the undercard “The Contender” series reality star and former IBF #1 ranked Rico Hoye (24-3, 16 KO’s), returned to the ring after a four year layoff quickly dismantling the clearly overmatched Brandon Winner who drops to (3-9), in a scheduled 6 round bout.

Hoye displayed his world famous lighting quick jab and was smooth on his feet as he was able to make Winner miss almost everything he threw at the former world title contender. Hoye, landed some great body work after doubling up on the hooks by throwing up top then quickly landing a left hook to Winner’s body, and then followed up with more combinations. Winner took a knee but once he rose to his feet, the referee deemed that Winner was unable to continue. The official result was Hoye defeated Winner by TKO Round 1, 1:35

After the fight Hoye, thanked his new team which consisted on advisor Richard Spilotro, Manager Wasfi Tolaymat, Promoter Cynthia Tolaymat, trainers Fernando Hernandez and Robinson Ayala. “I want to thank everyone who has been very supportive on my comeback, my family and friends” said the always humble Hoye who plans to compete at the cruiserweight and heavyweight division. Hoye went on to say “I want Antonio Tarver, he been ducking me for years and I am ready for that challenge”

Welterweights: Meeting at 150lbs a great fight took place when the always exciting power swinging Ahmad Cheikho (12-5, 7 KO’s), took on the upset minded Reggie Nash (11-35-1, 2 KO’s), the bout showcased a ton of blood and heart. Cheikho size advantage was obviously clear he was definitely the much bigger and stronger fighter of the two. Cheikho dropped Nash multiple times before the referee called a halt to the fight; the official result was Cheikho defeating Nash via TKO Round 3, 0:43.
