Price, 6’8”, thinks that a new trainer can take him to the next level and help him move forward to capture a world title.

Price said this as quoted by Fightnews.com “For me to achieve my goal as heavyweight champion of the world, I feel that I need change…we’ve agreed that this is the best way forward. I am in no rush to appoint another trainer and I am open to discussions.”

Wow, Price sounds desperate to me. I can’t see how any other trainer is going to be able to make major changes with his chin, and his stamina. Price seemed nervous as a cat in his 5th round TKO loss to Tony Thompson last July. He got stressed out, lost his composure, and then lost the fight in that order.
Price need a Emmanuel Steward-like trainer to help him work with his weak chin, help him use his height, and help him slow down the offense of his opponents.

I think Johnathon Banks would be perfect. He was with Steward since he was a teenager, and he knows exactly how Steward would train Price if he were still alive. That’s about the best I think Price can hope for. If he chooses someone like Freddie Roach or Virgil Hunter, I don’t see that working too well. I don’t know of any good British trainers, so he might as well not waste his time there. Price needs a modern American trainer like Banks, who can teach him to fight from the ground up, and have unlearn all those bad habits he learned while growing up.

In the meantime, Price needs to take up some Yoga or ballet classes to work on his flexibility. The guy fights like he’s got medal joints. Not flexibility at all with Price.
