wilder53By Scott Gilfoid: Let’s not rush to judgment about unbeaten heavyweight Deontay Wilder’s alleged domestic violence case stemming from last Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada. We don’t know what happened because none of us where when this alleged incident took place.

No one knows what he’s guilty, so it’s best not to rush to judgment about this case. For all we know, Deontay did nothing and is innocent. That’s for the courts to decide. It’s just kind of sad to see a lot of people forming opinions about this talented fighter without anyone knowing the facts of what allegedly happened on that night.

All I know is Deontay seems as harmless as a kitten outside of the ring and one of nicest guys you’ll ever want to meet. I can’t see him ever doing something like what’s been reported. He seems too decent and law abiding to want to harm another person. As such, I do not believe anything until it’s proven in court, if it gets to that point. You never with things like this.

If Deontay is guilty then I feel he should be punished but it’s wrong for people to label the guy as a women beater without knowing whether it actually happened or not. If he confesses to having done so then you can maybe form opinion but we also don’t know whether he defending himself or if it as a case of mistaken identity.

There are so many variables that need to be worked out before the truth comes out to what happened on that night. But for me, I’m holding off on forming any opinion until the facts come out. Until then, I see Deontay as I did before – him being a talented fighter with a great future and heading towards a heavyweight title fight in 2014.
