This fight is special for Wilder because it’s going to be beamed nationwide by Showtime in the United States, so a lot of boxing fans will get a real treat by seeing him fight for the first time. The Wilder-Price fight will be on a heavily stacked card with Amir Khan vs. Carlos Molina headlining it with Leo Santa Cruz vs. Alberto Guevara as the co main event.

Also on the card is Alfredo Angulo taking on Jorge Silva, Shawn Porter facing Julio Diaz, Frankie Gomez battling Pavel Miranda, and much, much more. The card has a ton of really good prospects on the undercard in addition to the interesting Wilder-Price, Angulo-Silva and Santa Cruz-Guevara fights.

Wilder said at the final pressure conference this week: “I am going to whip somebody, I am going to whip somebody. I can’t wait for Saturday night to hit someone in the face!”
Wilder is being nice to Price by not mentioning his name. That’s Wilder’s Southern manners speaking. However, he’s definitely going to be hitting Price on Saturday night and really bringing his big power with him in this fight. Unless Price really fights defensively the entire fight, I’ll be surprised if he can make it past the 4th. Once Wilder connects he either puts you down on the canvas or he stuns you to where you’re staggering. He then knocked you flat.

Out of his 25 fights, Wilder has fifteen first round knockouts and five second round knockouts. That tells you what kind of puncher Wilder. He’s got unreal power, and he’s heading for a knockout record for the most consecutive knockouts.
