Image: TEAM UK vs TEAM USA; Wilder, Broner, FrochBy Madern: Readers on this website are split between the nations of Great Britain and the U S of A (apologies to anyone else!) with a sense of animosity and a biased view. I am a representative of one of these great boxing countries but I will say no more.

This piece I have created is meant to be an unbiased view of who I would predict would be the winner between these  potential bouts.

Kell Brook vs Devon Alexander

I’ve started with this match-up as it is the only one which is confirmed. Both of these fighters look good in there last outings. Devon Alexander is the more smoother boxer who has a better rhythm. Kell Brook on the other hand possesses more power. The winner of this bout is….. Kell Brook! Even though Devon Alexander is the better boxer, it is not by much,  I think that Kell Brook will cause a late stoppage with constant pressure.

UK 1 – 0 USA

Ricky Hatton vs Paulie Malignaggi (2)

This fight is predicted to happen if Ricky Hatton overcomes his next foe Vyacheslav Senchenko. To decide the winner between Malignaggi and Hatton would be a lot easier to predict after Hatton’s next bout. But as it stands I would actually go for a Malignaggi win. I think that he has grew in confidence within the last two years and has matured into a good solid boxer. He may not of ever had the power but he still holds on to his good boxing skills, speed and a decent chin. Believing that Hatton will of lost both his speed and his power; I predict that Malignaggi will out skill his opponent to nick a victory. This is dependant though on where the bout takes place. Malignaggi on points.

UK 1 – 1 USA

Danny Garcia vs Amir Khan (2)

After the destructive nature in which Garcia dealt with Khan in their previous bout you would have to say that ultimately the same result would proceed… or would you? I do think that Amir Khan does have immense boxing ability and speed but the other half of his game is lacking. If Virgil Hunter can address these issues then I believe he can get a points victory. I do rate Danny Garcia though. He is a tough and durable fighter who has a great work ethic but he is not an elite level fighter (I am not saying Khan is either). It’s a real toughy to call but I would have to say that Garcia would pull this one out the bag (probably being the underdog again) because most fighters know how to win against Khan and that is to get him in a tear up. Garcia by stoppage.

UK 1 – 2 USA

Deontay Wilder vs David Price

The battle of the two young contenders for the Heavyweight crown. I have read numerous articles on these two boxers with mixed ideas shall i say on who is the better boxer. Well first of all, they are both top heavyweights who can bang which makes it even harder to predict a winner. Both bronze medalist at the 2008 Olympic games and both with records against, to put it politely, lower tier fighters. I’m going to just put this out there…. David Price (probably to much joa and hatred of each fighters fans). The only reason why I think he will win is that he has a tighter defence than Wilder but apart from that it’s a level playing field. David Price knockout in the middle rounds.

UK 2 – 2 USA

Adrien Broner vs Ricky Burns

This bout has been under recent review after Broner’s last performance. To keep this short and sweet I do believe that Broner is the next big boxing superstar because of his very polished skill set. I have great admiration for Ricky Burns who is a boxer who uses his skills to the best of his ability and leads a perfect lifestyle plus he is a genuine humble guy. Broner should come through with “W” in this fight but don’t rule out a potential banana skin if he takes his foot of the pedal (can’t see this happening). Adrien Broner by stoppage.

UK 2 – 3 USA

Bernard Hopkins vs Nathan Cleverly

Classic fight between an old great and an up an coming star. I must say that Cleverly has received some unjustifiable comments of other writers. But for me personally he is a great boxer with his hand speed and aggressive style. On the other hand you have an all time great that is Bernard Hopkins who has mastered his own style that 95% of boxers cannot deal with. Unfortunately this will not work against Cleverly as his quick hands will catch the old war horse Hopkins due to his slower reactions. If it was the Hopkins of a decade ago it would be a no brainer… But i feel as though he has had his day at the top of the tree and he needs just one more fight at the highest level to prove this. Cleverly win by late stoppage.

UK 3 – 3 USA

Carl Froch vs Andre Ward (2)

I’ve deliberately left this one till last as this is the hot topic of the moment. I must be honest and say I am one of Carl Froch’s biggest fans. I don’t think he is the greatest boxer but definitely one of the great warriors of the sport. On the other hand we have the complete opposite in Andre Ward who is a supremely gifted boxer who never needs to get in a war. My hearts says Froch will catch him with a flurry of his fury punches and get the early knockout. But my head tells me that the fight will pan out the same as their previous bout. Ward will out think Froch and show his class once again.

UK 3 – 4 USA

The results are in and the winner is…………….USA.

These are just my thoughts on the outcome of these bouts. Let me know how you think the battle would end!!!
