Boxing is here to stay

I take offense to people who say boxing is dead. Boxing is very much still here and will continue to be here. Yeah, some people say its a slowly starting to fade, but I beg to differ with shows like 24/7 and Fight Camp 360 and not to mention the internet.

Social media adding more fans access to their favorite fighters and all the continuous coverage throughout the fights build up some pay preview weigh ins have more fans wanting to see and be a part of every moment thousands of fans surround these arenas.

Even with the cost of the pay preview fans cannot get enough of the sport, and I will tell you why I love this sport. I believe most fans do to. It’s the only sport that I know where two men go in the squared circle and go and try to kill each other for twelve rounds and at the end can still embrace one another with respect and no matter the outcome.

They don’t argue they accept the decision or the results and are always eager for redemption they don’t go, and try to put blame on their teammates or cause someone fell short.

That’s was why they weren’t victorious. Know it’s you and another man going toe to toe in the squared circle and whether its the others skills and ability that got them the W or the other mans relentless attack, strength and heart throughout the sport.

We have had amazing upsets its a sport where if you let your guard down for just a split second it can cost you. You have to protect yourself at all times, and those who criticize these fighters and say they are scared and have no heart, aren’t real champions. I dare you to step into their shoes and see what it takes to get to their level.

Yes, someone can be shown to box, they can learn and pick it up, but it takes more than just skills; It takes something special to become a champion. Even though many fans have their favorites and will cheer and back up their fighters one hundred percent, at the end of the day if our fighter falls short for whatever reason we at least acknowledge the winner and recognize them for a great performance.

This is truly a great sport. I have a very dear respect for each of these men who go step into a crowded arena where all eyes are on their every move and even with all that pressure can still come out and give it their all and will put it all on the line.

This isn’t some ground and pound fight where all one has to do is get some one down and lay on top and swing away. No, this is toe to toe, man to man, skills vs skills. Whatever the skills maybe, whether your a defensive fighter or a offensive fighter, its who’s the better man. It’s not style styles that make fights but fighters that make history.
