At his level he is bound to be facing journey men. But Pojonisevez is more on the level of a sparring partner.

I don’t really rate Chris Eubank Jr. I think his talent has been inflated by fans of his super talented Father, Chris Eubank Sr. But it is sad to see him being held back so much. True he has only had 6 fights but has been moved up to 8 rounds. I laugh whenever I hear the commentators at his fights. they repeatedly state that he has been matched hard throughout his career. I’m sure that’s what his team tell him but he has always faced people who are there to lose. They know it and so does Eubanks Jr.

No boxer wants to become the laughing stock of their division but there is a serious risk of that here. Ruslans Pojonisevs record is Wins 13 and lost 22. Doesn’t sound that bad when it said like that, but he has only won 1 fight out of his last 13.

The fact that Eubank was mildly tested at times by a boxer of this level is troubling. It does make me wonder about his future. Its well known in boxing that he lacks power. His opponents are not afraid to walk through his punches. But his speed should be able to do anything power can, and more.

Personally I think Chris Eubank Jr should distance himself from his Fathers advise, they are different people. Change from his Fathers ex trainer, he needs to find his own path. For some reason fans have not taken to him. by distancing himself from that camp its screams “I can do it all by myself”. Opponents don’t fear him and why would they, they are used to losing. They get paid and that’s what they want.
