Image: Ricky Hatton will make his boxing comeback against Vyacheslav Senchenko on November 24By Stephen Moffitt: Ricky Hatton (45-2, 32 KO’s) will be facing former WBA World welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko (32-1, 21 KO’s) on November 24th at the Manchester Arena (formerly M.E.N Arena), Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom. Personally, I think this is a “big” gamble for Hatton. The reason I highlighted the word big is because Senchenko is a big welterweight with decent power!

He maybe coming off a loss to a very impressive Pauli Malignaggi but Senchenko is no journeyman believe me. Hatton has already showed he struggles at welterweight and I think he will struggle even more coming back from a 3-year absence in which he dabbled in drugs and lost his way. No one knows were Ricky’s head is at apart from himself. He recently had a altercation with his father in which punches were believed to be thrown. So surely Ricky Hatton can’t be 100% focused when his personal life has been affected so much in recent weeks.

For me personally, Ricky should have stayed retired but no point in crying over spilled milk. The “Hitman” is back and he is fighting a big, powerful top 15 ranked guy in Senchenko!. If Ricky can somehow find the form that took him to stardom when he demolished Jose Luis Castillo then this will be a great fight. If not, it will be a sad day for boxing and Ricky Hatton fans if he gets blown away by the big punching Senchenko.
