Image: Pacquiao/Mayweather next barrier: Weight IssueBy Frank (Frankly) Livingstone: Well it seems that Christmas comes a bit early this month for both Pacquiao and Mayweather fans. Manny Pacquiao has come out and declared that the drug test is no longer an issue and Manny is now willing to take a 45:55 split for the fight. What is more interesting is that 50 cent is now in the process of teaming up with Manny Pacquiao in a promotional deal. I do not know the current situation between 50 cent and Floyd, but it is another step closer in making the mega fight early next year.

But not get ahead of ourselves, Pacquiao still has the upcoming December 8 fight with his nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez to contend with. Again, all this talk about the possible mega fight is just another prop to hype the Series IV fight. But who cares?

Floyd Mayweather seems to be enjoying his life after jail spending time making bets that most of us can only dream of and still have time meeting up with his ex-wife that might get him into trouble again.

But moving forward, Floyd’s last fight with Miguel Cotto was at 154 lbs. Floyd seems comfortable fighting at this weight and that could sound alarm bells once again. It was reported that Miguel Cotto refused to fight Pacquiao at 150 lbs and turned down the $13 million dollar guarantee for the bout. So, with the ODST and purse split all but settled, there is the weight issue that may cause a problem in the horizon. Of course, Pacquiao has humbly accepted two of Floyd’s demand for the fight. Will Floyd now demand a no catchweight at 154 lbs fight with Manny Pacquiao?? The boxing world will be keenly awaiting Floyd’s response to Pacquiao’s move. What’s up Floyd?
