Wilder looks good enough to beat Adamek right now

Image: Wilder looks good enough to beat Adamek right nowBy Scott Gilfoid: In watching unbeaten heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (24-0, 24 KO’s) completely destroy a good fighter in Kertson Manswell (22-6, 17 KO’s) in a 1st round TKO win last night in Mobile, Alabama, I’m completely convinced that Wilder would destroy former two division world champion Tomasz Adamek (46-2, 28 KO’s) if given the chance to fight him.

Wilder looks like he would poleaxe Adamek if he got him in the ring and put him down face first in the 1st or 2nd round like Wilder has done with many of his 24 opponents in the four short years of his career. Adamek would be a perfect step up opponent for Wilder, because he’s now looking to face better opposition after blowing out Manswell.

A fight between Adamek and Wilder would be the perfect fight if Adamek would only agree to it, because he’s trying to fight taller guys to get him ready for another possible title fight against one of the Klitschko brothers next year. Adamek is facing 6’4 1/2″ Travis Walker next month on September 8th in Newark, New Jersey to try and adapt to fighting taller guys. I think it’s fruitless, because Wladimir Klitschko or his brother WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will blow out the tiny and weak Adamek no matter how many taller guys he fights to try and get ready for a fight with them. It’s not possible for him to get ready other than getting ready to be slaughtered again. But I would love to see Adamek face the 6’7″ Wilder because that would a great to watch for about one or two rounds until Wilder catches up to Adamek and knocks him clean out.

Wilder looks ready to take on the top guys and Adamek is sadly one of the few recognizable fighters. The division is just sick right now with no talent, no names and nobody for Wilder to fight and get anything out of.
