Golovkin, a former Olympian from the 2004 Olympics, has been dominating all of his sparring partners around his own weight class while getting ready for this fight, and has been forced to train with light heavyweights and cruiserweights in order to find guys that can stand up to his huge punches. The thing is Golovkin has been beating up the light heavyweights and cruiserweights he’s been sparring with. That tells you a lot about Golovkin’s power.

Sanchez said to RingTV “We may lose the 1st round, but beginning in the 2nd, he’s [Proksa] going to start getting touched. Once he starts getting hit, he’s going to take a brutal beating. The fights going to end somewhere in the 5th or 6th round.”

Sanchez used to trainer “Terrible” Terry Norris and he feels that Golovkin is the best fighter he’s ever trained before due to his skills and huge punch. Under his guidance, Golovkin has changed his fighting style from his previous Eastern European style and is now a blend of Mexican and European fighting. Sanchez has turned Golovkin into a dangerous pressure fighter that crowds his opponents and works to the body and head at close range. He’s made Golovkin more fan friendly in the process. Former knockout artist and world champion Julian Jackson feels that Golovkin reminds him of a young Julio Cesar Chavez with the way that Golovkin attacks the body, according to RingTV. This is big change from the way that Golovkin previously fought after turning pro. He was strictly a head hunter in the past.

Proksa probably doesn’t stand a chance in this fight. Boxing fans who’ve seen a lot of Proksa don’t believe that he can lose to Golovkin, but they’ll quickly change their minds after Saturday night when Proksa is easily annihilated by Golovkin. This isn’t going to be a close fight, believe me. Golovkin is worlds better than the European level Proksa.

Sanchez wants to match Golovkin up with the winner of the Sergio Martinez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fight after Golovkin takes care of Proksa.
