Haye knocked the normally iron-chinned Chisora down twice in the fight.

After the fight, Haye called out WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, but at the same time Haye doubted that Vitali will bother facing him before retiring. At the post fight press conference, Haye said “This could be my last fight, if the Vitali Klitschko fight doesn’t happen. I want to go out with a bang and do some damage.”

The chances are probably small that the 40-year-old Vitali will choose to fight Haye, because Vitali really had a lot of problems in his last fight against Dereck Chisora, and he’s probably going to be scared off for a fight against Haye after seeing how easily Haye beat Chisora tonight. Vitali will be turning 41 on July 19th of this month, and he’s scheduled an easy fight against #7 WBC Manuel Charr on September 8th in Moscow, Russia.

Charr is ranked in the top 15 by only the World Boxing Organization. The other sanctioning bodies don’t rate him, and it’s not hard to understand why because Charr hasn’t faced quality opposition and has a controversial decision win over journeyman Zack Page recently. Vitali chosen his opponent well in picking out Charr rather than a heavyweight that can fight like Haye.

If Vitali chooses not to take the fight fight, Haye will have few other options and will likely have to retire rather than sticking around and getting small paydays to fight the contenders. Haye would like to also try and avenge his defeat against IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, but Wladimir’s not interested in and is too busy facing easy opponents like 40-year-old Tony Thompson and 39-year-old Jean Marc Mormeck.
