Image: Haye: Chisora is getting knocked out no matter what he doesBy Sean McDaniel: Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-2, 23 KO’s) sees Dereck Chisora (15-3, 9 KO’s) getting knocked out on July 14th regardless of what tactic Chisora brings to the table for their fight at Upton Park. Haye simply sees Chisora as not intelligent enough or talented enough to hang with him in this fight.

Haye said “They say you are what you eat, and he’s spent the last 10 years eating s***. That’s exactly what it is. If he does what he did against Vitali, he’s getting knocked out in two rounds maximum. I know he’s dumb, but he’s not dumb enough to think he can outbox me. No matter what he does, he’s going to get knocked out. If he tries to rush me, he’ll get knocked out. If he tries to stand in the middle ground, he’ll get knocked out.”

I believe there will be a knockout in this fight, but I think it’s going to happen early with Haye unloading on the much slower, wide open Chisora in the first two rounds to get an early KO. Chisora’s fighting style makes him a sitting duck for Haye, because you don’t fight Haye by squaring up and coming forward in a slow plod like Chisora likes to fight. That’s liking teeing up a shot for Haye and making it easy.

Chisora likes to use the Joe Frazier bob & weave style of fighting to try and elude punches, but he’s still very hittable and he’s going to make it easy for Haye, especially if he puts his head on Haye’s chest to try and work on the inside. Haye will rabbit punch Chisora into submission if he tries that trick, and definitely will try that because that’s how Chisora fights. He doesn’t know any other way of fighting.
