I can’t imagine a lot of boxing fans wanting to see Chisora against anyone right now, not after his last performance against David Haye. Chisora fought poorly.

Chisora further said he’ll be “maybe two months out, and then back in.”

Speaking about Haye, Chisora said “It will be another great fight one day…We’re going to go separate ways and then meet up again.”

It’s going to be a hard sell to get boxing fans interested in seeing Chisora and Haye fight again unless Chisora really turns his career around in a major way. Is it possible for him to do this? Yes, it’s possible but not likely. Chisora is fat and slow, and I don’t think that will change in the future.

You have to wonder who this opponent will be that boxing fans will really want to see, because it’s hard to imagine that his promoter will be able to scrape up someone who would be interested in fighting Chisora with all the losses he’s had lately.

Chisora, a former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion, has lost four out of his last five bouts and is quickly on his way to becoming a journeyman. He lost his last fight against David Haye by a 5th round TKO on July 14th.

The smart thing to do would be to rebuild Chisora slowly by putting him in against guys that he has a good chance of beating. He needs to learn to straighten out his punches and increase his workrate. He’s way too economical with his shots, and he’s so easy to hit because of his bad habit of throwing nothing but hooks.

Chisora did well in fights against Vitali Klitschko and Robert Helenius, but he still lost those fights. If his promoter decides he wants to put him in with someone good then he needs to look to put Chisora in with a big heavyweight like Kubrat Pulev or David Price.

Chisora seems to do well against the bigger heavyweights, and he might have a chance against one of those guys if he can inside and land some of his big shots. Price is vulnerable because of his weak chin, and Chisora could pull off an upset if he’s able to get close enough to him to land his shots. Pulev would be ideal because he’s not a huge puncher, and isn’t as skilled as some of the better heavyweights in the division.
