Viloria, 31, hasn’t been beaten since January 2010 when he was stopped in the 12th round by Carlos Tamara in a fight where Viloria was worn down in. He’s rebounded well, winning his last five bouts since then. Viloria has picked up some quality wins along the way against Julio Cesar Miranda, Giovani Segura and Omar Nino Romero. However, those are fighters with a lot of mileage on them, and the win over Segura was more of an injury thing because Segura suffered a broken orbital bone in the fight and that made things easy for Viloria.

Marquez, 23, is hitting the prime of his career. He was beaten two years ago in back to back fights against Richie Mepranum and Nonito Donaire, but Marquez was only 21 then and he’s improved. He avenged the loss to Mepranum by beating him earlier this year by a lopsided 10 round unanimous decision. Marquez didn’t get a chance to fight Donaire again, however, because Donaire moved up in weight and that prevented Marquez from getting a second shot at him.

I like Marquez in this fight against Viloria. He’s the bigger puncher and the much younger fighter compared to the 31-year-old Viloria. Barring any kind of injuries that might mess things up for Marquez, I see him stopping Vilora inside the distance.
