Abraham is looking to get a shot at the winner of the George Groves vs. Robert Stieglitz fight in the near future, but in the meantime Abraham has decided on taking on the tough as nails 33-year-old Wilczewski to keep busy.

This could be a really big mistake on the 32-year-old Abraham’s part, because Wilczewski is a very good fighter and certainly not someone that can be beaten by a fighter with a routinely low work rate like Abraham. Moving up in weight to 168 as supposed to give Abraham more power and improve his game, but it hasn’t as we’ve seen with Abraham’s losses in the Super Six tournament. Abraham was beaten in three of the four fights in the tournament and only looked good in one of the fights against Jermain Taylor.

Wilczewski can beat Abraham if he studies what Carl Froch, Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell did in besting him. It’s no mystery to what they did. All they did was jab constantly, retreating when Abraham would look to throw a rare shot and throw one or two shots every once in awhile. The thing that Wilczewski needs to do is use his jab a lot and get Abraham covering up. He’s incapable of throwing punches when he’s got his guard up and is focusing on defense. He’s not someone that can adjust well from defense to offense and this has really hurt in the his losses in the Super Six tournament. Abraham also has become quite predictable with the way he does little until the last 25 seconds of the rounds at which point he often throws a flurry to try and steal the rounds.
