Peterson will show Khan that his win was no fluke

Image: Peterson will show Khan that his win was no flukeBy Dallan O’ Donnell: After his shock win in their first fight Lamont Peterson gladly gave a furious, and apparently cheated and hard done by Amir Khan, a rematch almost immediately. Khan and his camp complained about almost everything after the first bout including the referee for rightly taking points off Khan for pushing.

Then they blamed a mysterious man in a hat who sat ringside and was seen talking to a judge during the fight. Peterson however has no reason to complain, in my opinion he won the world titles fairly and was the better man on the night. The big question now that Peterson must answer is can he do it again? Or was it just a fluke or home town decision? I think he has Khan’s number on almost every aspect of the fight. He was first to the punch and will be again. He throws harder than Khan and this time he has one thing that he did not have in the first fight: “belief”.

Surely he had little belief he would beat Khan but he defied the odds and did which now gives him the belief that he can do it again, this time in Las Vegas. Peterson will expose Khans flaws and beat him easier than last time. Khans hope of fighting Floyd Mayweather are little more than a pipe dream and if he does lose to Peterson again he will be banished to boxing wilderness and may become a stepping stone for the likes of upcoming talent Kell Brook.
