McIntosh wants the 29-year-old Bellew’s title and he figures he’s got the power to take it from him.

McIntosh said “I want to smash his face in. I want to beat the s**t out of him.”

He’s going to get the chance to beat up Bellew because he’ll be there to be hit because it’s doubtful that Bellew will fight the safety first style that he did in his win over Ovil McKenzie last July in a rather timid fight by Bellew. In his last fight, Bellew look the fight to WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly, but ended up losing by a 12 round majority decision.

However, Cleverly’s not much of a puncher, so Bellew wasn’t really risking anything by going all out trying to take him out. Against the hard hitting and equally big McIntosh, Bellew will have a lot to worry about because he could put him down if he’s able to connect with his big shots.

McIntosh, 32, lost his European Boxing Union title in his first defense in his last fight against the tough Eduard Gutknecht by an 8th round TKO defeat last May. There’s no shame in losing to a good fighter like Gutknecht because he’d likely take care of Bellew without any problems. He’s definitely a level above Bellew in talent, so it doesn’t mean anything that McIntosh was beaten by this guy.
