Khan looking to purchase a house in Beverly Hills

Image: Khan looking to purchase a house in Beverly HillsBy Scott Gilfoid: Amir Khan is currently house hunting in 90210 zip code of Beverly Hills, California to purchase a house for him and his family to live in. The average house in Beverly Hills goes for around $2 million, but they obviously go much higher than that. Hopefully, Khan doesn’t spend too much money on more house than he needs and then end up having to possibly scratch for cash to make the house payment if he loses again to IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Lamont Peterson in their rematch on May 19th.

Khan said this on his twitter page today “On way to Beverly Hills 90210 to look at 2-3 houses I’m thinking on buying. Going with mum [mother] and dad and my boi [?]. In the hills in Beverly, seen two houses. Now off to the 3rd house. So far not bad. But hearts not there and haven’t fall for one.”

Here’s my advice: Forget about putting all that cash on an over-inflated house in Beverly Hills. Khan is much saving the cash and buying a nice house in Mission Viejo or San Clemente. He’ll get more house for his cash and won’t have to worry about trying to find the green stuff for a mortgage payment if/when he starts taking loss after loss. It’s better to move to a nice neighborhood that won’t put Khan in the poor house when his career suddenly nosedives with a KO loss to Peterson and additional losses to other fighters. It can be over very quickly for Khan, because he’s already been beaten twice. A loss to Peterson could mess things up for Khan’s television deal with HBO. I think they’ll still continue to televise Khan’s fights but one or two more loses after the Peterson defeat will probably be dire for Khan. And if he’s sunk all that cash into a Beverly Hills home, he might be wishing he hadn’t when he needs that money later.
