Image: Chisora: I will attack Vitali from the start and hurt himBy Scott Gilfoid: British heavyweight Dereck Chisora seems to think that the hardest of beating WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko is to show that he’s not afraid of him, as if showing no fear will equate to Chisora getting a win over him.

Personally, it sounds like a useless outlook because just because Chisora isn’t afraid of Vitali won’t make things any easier for him this Saturday night in their fight in Munich, Germany.

Chisora told ninemsn.com.au “I will attack him from the start and hurt him…Most of the guys had already lost to him before they step in the ring, because they were trembling with fear. But I have pride and passion. I am the worst type of pest for him.”

I think Chisora has got things mixed up in his head. Vitali hasn’t been beating everyone because they’re afraid of him. Seeing it that way, Chisora gives Vitali no credit for being a talented fighter. It isn’t because Vitali’s opponents are afraid of him why he’s able to beat them. He’s beating them on a combination of size, power and skills. I think Chisora has some kind of hang-up fear. That’s his baggage but he needs not to let his trips get to him because he sounds totally confused and is going to waste too much time trying to show Vitali he’s not afraid instead of coming up with some real plans on trying to actually win the fight.

All the stuff that Chisora is concerned with is fluff junk. It’s all pretend. He wants to show he’s not fear when in fact he’s got to be afraid otherwise he wouldn’t be yapping about this all the time. Chisora needs to come to terms with being afraid and just acknowledge and stop talking about it all the time. The guy needs some serious ideas instead of the nonsense he’s been spouting. He reminds me of David Haye with all the posing. It’s like watching an actor that you can tell is acting and not playing the part in an authentic manner. Maybe this is a British thing? Whatever the case, I think it’s stupid and a complete waste of time. Vitali is a big shark and you’re not going to scare a shark away. He sees a vulnerable opponent and he’s going to rip him to pieces unless Chisora has some ideas. I don’t think he has any. He’s going to go primitive in the 1st round and get knocked silly.
