Haye talked his way into a fight with Wladimir and then got embarrassed by him, losing almost every round of a 12 round fight last July. The result wasn’t what Vitali wanted. He wanted to see Haye flat on his back out cold for all the trash talking he did leading up to that fight with Wladimir.

Vitali told the dailystar.co.uk “I can’t forgive him for the things he did. I don’t care about his reputation. I want to send him to the floor. It is my goal. David Haye doesn’t have any excuses.”

Is Vitali kidding? Of course Haye will have a ready-made excuse for after he loses to Vitali. He’ll probably have four of them rang from an aching toe to a bad migraine he fought with.

Doesn’t Vitali understand that Haye HAS to have an excuse for his loss? Without an excuse, Haye may look bad in front of the some of his last remaining fans who still believe in him. At least by coming up with an excuse, he’s got a few kool-aid drinkers still believing in him.

Vitali continues “I was very happy when my brother defeated him, bit unhappy as he then retired and I thought that my chance had gone. But now there is a chance, although we are still miles away from an agreement.”

Haye can probably smell Vitali’s desperation to get him in the ring and that’s why Vitali’s having to many problems trying to iron out a deal with Haye. The thing with Haye is if you want to put together a deal that benefits you, you have to be willing to ignore the guy and walk away forever.

If you give him the hint that he’s needed, he’s going to try and get a good deal. I’d personally tell Haye to go fly kite and I’d mean it. Unless he was willing to take the 20% that I was offering him, I’d move on and face other guys for the remainder of my career. If Haye wants to come back, let him come back and fight guys like Robert Helenius, Denis Boytsov, Tyson Fury and David Price and earn a title shot instead of having it handed to him on a silver platter like a spoiled brat.
