Price, 28, figures that Chisora is a better fighter than McDermott and feels he’s completely ready for anything that that the 31-year-old McDermott brings to the table on Saturday. The winner of the Price-McDermott fight will then become the mandatory challenger for British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in what will likely be a huge fight in 2012 if Price is the one that emerges victorious this Saturday.

A lot of boxing fans think Fury will vacate his title if Price beats McDermott in order to get out from taking that risky bout. Price is all for facing Fury and wants that fight badly, feeling like he matches up well with the slapping Fury.

Price likes the McDermott fight because he thinks he’ll get more of a chance to show his skills in that fight because of McDermott’s experience. Price told boxrec.com “Most of my fights have not lasted long enough for me to show my full arsenal of punches and movement so I think this could be one where I show them.”

Price previously sparred with former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye to get him ready for his fight against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko last year, and Price did such a good job of mimicking Wladimir’s style of fighting that much of the huge Ukrainian’s fighting style seemingly has become a permanent part of Price’s fighting style.

As such, he literally has become the British Klitschko with his height, jab, movement, speed and power. He’s doing a lot of the same things that Wladimir is in the ring. Heck, he even has Wladimir’s shaky chin and may need to start using clinching to prevent some of the bigger punchers to test it in the future.

McDermott has the power to ruin Price’s big world title and/or British heavyweight title dreams by knocking him out. If McDermott can start quickly and give it all he’s got in the first two rounds, he could get Price out of there. That’s the way you beat Price. You can’t let fight for more than two rounds because his power and jab is too good. 2008 Olympic Gold medalist Roberto Cammarelle never gave Price a chance in the 2008 Olympics, attacking him hard immediately in the 1st round and staggering him with a left to the head. Price never recovered from that shot and was blasted out in the 2nd.

No doubt, that’ the way that McDermott has to fight Price, because you can’t let this guy get warmed up due to his size and power. If McDermott bum rushes Price in the first two rounds and unloads on him with everything he’s got, Price could collapse in a heap. He’s slow when fighters get close and not good at reacting to guys like unload on him the way that Cammarelle was. I’m giving McDermott a real chance in this fight to knock Price out cold.
