Price, 29, destroyed John McDermott in one round last Saturday night in an explosive three-knockdown performance in Liverpool. The win made Price the mandatory challenger for unbeaten British super middleweight champion Tyson Fury (17-0, 12 KO’s) and possibly sets up what could be the biggest heavyweight fight in Britain since David Haye fought Audley Harrison.

Maloney told The Times “David will be out in March and there is a real possibility he will fight in America. He could fight on March 17th at Madison Square Garden [on the Sergio Martinez vs. Matthew Macklin undercard] or there is another bill in Texas around the same time. “

This would be an excellent opportunity for Price if he were to fight in America on the Macklin-Martinez fight card, as the bout will be aired by HBO and seen by millions of people. If Price wants to pick up a lot of fans immediately that would be the best way to do it. Fury likely wouldn’t be Price’s opponent but whoever it is, it’s very likely that Price will destroy them in a round or two with his heavy shots and fast attack style offense.

Price fights completely different from the dull safety first style that the Klitschkos employ with their offense. The Klitshkos fights are rarely shown on HBO nowadays due to the lack of action and the dull one-sided nature of most of the fights. Price may be able to win American fans in ways that the Klitschkos have been unable to by pouncing on his next opponent in March and looking good for the U.S fans.
