Image: Chisora: I need as much protein as possibleBy Scott Gilfoid: Dereck Chisora (15-2, 9 KO’s) has very little chance of beating WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (43-2, 40 KO’s) on February 18th, and he’s got to have a pretty good idea about his slim chances in this fight if he’s bothered to take a look at some of Vitali’s past fights.

Chisora doesn’t seem to be worried about losing, and he also looks as if he’s not missing many meals as well. Chisora still looks kind of fat to me and I think he could still stand to lose 20 pounds of flab. Chisora says he likes eggs. I think he needs to back off on eating yokes and focus on just the egg whites if he’s serious about wanting to get in good enough shape to where he at least can go a few rounds without gassing out. What has he been eating to get that heavy?

Chisora said to thesun.co.uk “I eat seven medium boiled eggs every day. I need as much protein as possible.”

I’m sorry but that’s too many eggs and if Chisora is eating that many eggs, then no wonder he’s still looking chunky with less than a month to go before his big fight with Vitali. I took some nutrition classes in school and I learned it’s not a good idea to be eating a lot of eggs if you’re training. Instead of the eggs helping you put on muscle, it adds a lot of fat and you have to deal with carrying around extra tonnage. My advice for Chisora is to back off on the eggs completely and go with a nice salmon diet with brown rice, celery, carrots and oatmeal.

Chisora has got to get lean if he’s to have any chance against Vitali and even at 245, Chisora looks a good 25 pound over weight to me. Chisora at 220 would be perfect. He’d be about as big Mike Tyson and a lot faster than he is now with all that unsightly flab hanging off of his frame.
