However, Brook is now on the threshold of trying to win over a whole different set of boxing fans in the United States starting tonight against Luis Galarza (17-2, 13 KO’s) in a 10 round bout at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Brook, 25, has things a little easier than he did earlier in 2011 with David Haye getting wiped out by Wladimir Klitschko and moving into retirement, and Amir Khan losing to Lamont Peterson last Saturday. Things are set up to where Brook can move into this vacuum and create a name for himself both in England and the United State with a good performance tonight.

But it all starts tonight. Brook has to take care of business against the tough Galarza, who doesn’t see himself an opponent. Galarza feels he’s going to win this fight and eventually progress to where he’ll be one of the welterweight champions. He’s not just going to roll over for Brook, so hopefully Kell has come into this fight prepared.

Brook has had things kind of easy by being matched against an older 40-year-old Lovemore N’dou and a light hitting Rafal Jaciewicz recently. Both of those fighters were tailor made for Brook and not much of a threat. Brook may have it a little tougher tonight because the 29-year-old Galarza ha a little more pop than Jackiewicz, and he’s not 40 like N’dou.
