Ortiz had both his hands down when Floyd released those shots that caught Victor unguarded and sent him to canvass. Though legal, fans didn’t like it especially if it came from Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Floyd’s fans are in glee with this another win for Floyd. They don’t care how it came or to whose expense it was, as long as it was a win, it is good for them. With Floyd’s record of no losses, they branded Floyd as undefeated. But does the term well suits Floyd? For me it’s not. Undefeated means you have fought all of them and remain unbeaten. Have Floyd fought all his adversaries? And the answer is a big NO!

There are a lot of fighters whom we can consider threats to Floyd Mayweather Jr, but inexplicably, Floyd avoided them during their prime, especially the names of Paul Williams, Joshua Clottey, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito, Sergio Martinez, and lastly, Many Pacquiao . Had Floyd fought all of them, then his “L” column could have been “6” instead of “0”.

Floyd’s last fights didn’t qualify him to be in the pound for pound list. Oscar Dela Hoya was done, Shane Mosley was old, Juan Manuel Marquez was a lightweight, Ricky Hatton was a junior welter, and Victor Ortiz had only one fight at welter before he faced Floyd. It can be noted that Floyd never had fought any legitimate welter who had been in that division for quite a while which would make him a threat. Can Floyd be beaten? Yes and No! Yes because Floyd is not as good as his fans projects him to and NO simply because Floyd avoids those who can beat him. It is clear that real tests haven’t come to Floyd yet, and therefore, it is just right to call him UNTESTED instead of UNDEFEATED!
